Payroll Manager
We are actively searching for a Payroll Manager. This can be fully remote or a hybrid role for our Louisville Office.
Responsibilities:
- Directs activities regarding the daily work flow; Allocates responsibilities to payroll team ensuring coverage of workflow and payroll processing is accurate and timely; Manages all 3rd Party Payroll Vendor relationships.
- Ensures timely and accurate delivery of payrolls consistent with governmental/regulatory wage and hour laws.
- Manages any system changes/enhancement with the vendors in concert with any internal stakeholders.
- Ensures current payroll practices are in compliance with company policy and governance requirements and that they align with legislative requirements.
- Executes best practice solutions to business partners across the organization; communicates with various departments to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data interdependencies.
- Conducts reviews and manages the reconciliation of governmental/statutory tax accounts.
- Participates in special projects requiring payroll compliance oversight.
- Provides coaching / feedback to individuals as well as teams to develop and enhance both individual and team performance.
- Handles real-time decision making, approving time off requests, organizing meetings, project planning and providing direction.
- Supports the management of business relationship with internal partners and external vendors.
- Provides supporting research and documentation for Manager(s) and COE in situations that require escalation; works with the HRSS Service Delivery team on any process changes, communications, and feedback on services.
- Collaborates with internal HRSS departments as well as HR partners and COEs to ensure efficient and effective service delivery; supports current and future operational changes in scope of work completed by HRSS.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of payroll experience
- In-depth knowledge of multi-state taxes including tax adjustments and calculations.
- Knowledgeable on 401k, pension, Restricted Stock, and other compensation elements
- Responsible for the developing, implementing and updating payroll operations policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations.
- Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Perform other managerial responsibilities as needed.
