The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Tax Specialist to join the team in either Renton, WA, Chicago, IL, or Hazelwood, MO.
In this position, you will collaborate with teammates in a hybrid work environment to support all aspects of federal and state tax processes in support of the Boeing Commercial Airplanes business.
Additionally, you will play an integral role in leveraging enterprise systems and innovative technologies to transform and automate processes within Boeing's global tax department. Engaging with business partners with be crucial as you evaluate the implications of tax laws in a dynamic environment and ultimately deliver value to the enterprise.
Position Responsibilities:

• Research and evaluate complex federal and state tax issues for financial statement and tax return reporting.
• Prepare tax adjustments for the quarterly provision and tax return processes.
• Assist with various federal and state tax audits.
• Engage with business partners to understand key drivers of business activities and identify tax optimization opportunities.
• Develop and implement process efficiencies and solutions using a variety of technologies.
• Effectively communicate highly complex concepts to a variety of audiences in a clear and concise manner.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field
• 3+ years of Corporate Income Tax Experience
• 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Office Suite or comparable

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Big 4 Tax Experience
• Experience documenting and presenting analytical results
• 3+ years of experience in Alteryx and enterprise-class reporting tools
• 3+ years of experience with CorpTax software
• Highly motivated with a willingness to learn new areas and take on new responsibilities
• Familiarity with multiple tax disciplines (Income, Sales and Use, B&O, Property, VAT) and common processes within each area.
• Strong analytical, research and communication skills are required.

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
