The Finance Manager is a visible role providing support to Operations and Finance leaders. This position requires an ability to be adaptable to fast changing business/operational conditions, while providing timely and accurate analytics and reporting to Finance and Operations management. Strong cross-functional collaboration, ability to influence across the organization as well as possession of outstanding analytical skills are required. The candidate needs to have an in-depth knowledge of Operations Finance, Cost Accounting concepts, inventory, absorption, variances, gross margin, applicable US GAAP accounting standards and manufacturing acumen.

The role oversees Sequencing Consumables Manufacturing and Life Cycle Management. This individual collaborates and works closely with Business Partners to achieve annual operating targets, continuous process improvement and cost savings initiatives to drive quality and efficiency performance, margin improvement and strategic planning.

Responsibilities:
• Support the San Diego Manufacturing FP&A team and drive financial planning, financial analysis and ad hoc projects for both Sequencing Consumables Manufacturing and Life Cycle Management
• Lead the development and management of annual operating plans for manufacturing spend, OpEx, and CapEx
• Serve as a financial business partner for the San Diego Manufacturing site, building key relationships and supporting the achievement of site priorities and key objectives
• Manage financial close activities and reporting. Tracking, reporting, and sharing financial performance on OpEx, CapEx, material variances, manufacturing absorption and efficiencies, with Business Partners on a timely manner
• Enable prudent decision-making by collaborating with site SMEs across several departments to evaluate the financial implications of site-specific strategic choices and build thorough business cases
• Collaborate with systems teams and other site finance leads to enable visibility into site performance KPIs and share best practices • Examine financial data to ensure accuracy and for compliance with policy and procedures
• Prepare financial statements and various financial reports
• Forecast, monitor, analyze and provide variance reporting monthly
• Work with business SMEs to monitor ongoing GQO costs and help identify opportunities for improving margins
• Maximize long-term shareholder value while protecting corporate assets
• Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

Requirements:
• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience, with 1-3 years of Management experience.
• Uses interpersonal skills to influence customers, suppliers and other comparable level managers
• Managers at this level may become involved in day-to-day activities where their acquired expertise and knowledge provide focus to

subordinates
• Ability to collaborate with and influence a broad spectrum of stakeholders across corporate functions and hierarchy
• Thorough understanding of Cost Accounting principles
• Demonstrated success in leading continuous improvement and cost savings projects
• Advanced expertise in TM1, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are a plus
• Highly motivated with positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Outstanding financial acumen blended with business partnership
• Exceptional interpersonal soft skills, able to establish strong rapport and partnerships at all levels of the organization
• Strong knowledge of financial modelling and analysis, budgeting and forecasting
• Superb verbal and written communication and project management skills
• Good understanding of GAAP and SEC rules and their application

Education:
• BS or BA in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related

field
