Job Description
Directs the work of staff through effective delegation, serving as subject matter expert on multiple and complex business activities.
Demonstrates perspective and critical thinking that is cross-functional, extending beyond immediate area of responsibility. Ability to get the heart of an issue and formulate solutions, leveraging technical expertise. Challenges the status quo by evaluating situations from multiple facets. Manages staff training,
development, and performance in area of responsibility. Develops relationships, expanding leadership influence to accomplish results through others. Responsible for the design and operating effectiveness of the control environment within the area of responsibility. Applies judgement for the appropriate application of Corporate Policy, GAAP, IFRS, Regulation, or established framework. Interacts effectively with senior management as well as external parties, including auditors. Demonstrates accountability and leadership in the advancement of priorities, independent of management oversight.
Responsibilities
Oversees compilation and submission of statutory reports. Coordinates and tracks deliverables by locality and ensures compliance with prescribed due dates. Addresses and responds to reporting and compliance issues/inquiries from regulatory authorities and auditors.
Coordinates the Legal Entity Governance program, and manages and develop a team of direct reports.
Stays current on all applicable statutory accounting principles, procedures, practices, and regulatory rules.
Ensures the appropriate internal controls are in place over the financial reporting of statutory financial statements. Contributes to the development and maintenance of internal statutory accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with statutory reporting and regulatory requirements.
Manages the statutory audits through effective coordination and communication with auditors and management, ensuring results are appropriately reported and communicated.
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance
6+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance
Preferred Qualifications

CPA preferred
Previous audit experience preferred
Experience in people management a plus
