Position Purpose:

This opening is for a Statutory Reporting Manager. In this role you will be a key member of the Regulatory Reporting Group who will assist managing the day to day operations of the department inclusive of the following tasks:

• Review and file staff prepared quarterly and annual NAIC filings, ensuring compliance with NAIC and other regulatory requirements
• Work closely with internal partners and external auditors to complete legal entity external audits
• Approve staff journal entries to the general ledger
• Participate on state DOI exams and respond to DOI/NAIC analyst questions
• Mentor staff and encourage further development of their skillsets
• Participate in Statutory training sessions for staff

• Assist on department projects as needed

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, related field or equivalent experience. 6+ years of related accounting experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, other spreadsheet applications and accounting software applications. Previous experience as a lead in a functional area, managing cross functional teams on large scale projects or supervisory experience including hiring, training, assigning work and managing the performance of staff. License/Certification:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
