As Head of Payroll, you will help scale and manage the payroll department for a multinational company. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and data-driven environment and will report to the Controller.

As a Head of Payroll You Will

  • Scale and own full-cycle payroll function 
  • Manage bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees across the US, Canada, Brazil, Netherlands, United Kingdom, and other countries as we launch new markets
  • Ensure that all monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax filings are met; ensure all local statutory payroll and fringe benefit reporting requirements are met
  • Participate in implementing new or modified regional and global core pay related processes to meet long-term employee needs
  • Document financial processes and policies to enhance automation and scalability while ensuring accurate, secured, and compliant payroll processing in accordance with GAAP and SOX 
  • Help with new market setup and manage relationship with external vendors and other benefit providers
  • Support various internal and external audits, domestic and international, if needed
  • Serve as a strong partner with HR and Equity teams to ensure all processing of payroll data and headcount tracking are accurate.
  • Implement tools and systems for the payroll function to scale with the company

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience of payroll process experience 
  • Familiarity with Payroll Systems such as ADP and Workday
  • Helped scale private companies from pre-IPO to IPO
  • Ability to think across multiple dimensions of a business and work cross-functionally to deliver results
  • You are a team player and love to deliver outstanding results while having a fun time with your teammates doing it!
  • You are resourceful and not afraid to roll up your sleeves
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise utmost discretion 
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel
