The General Ledger Manager is an internal and external support function as part of the accounting team at Dragos and reports to the Corporate Controller. The position will be primarily responsible for managing and supporting the financial statement preparation and month-end close process of the company. Scope of work includes a focus on the month-end close process, and financial statement preparation and review. This role will support providing management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and preparing financial statements/schedules. Additionally, the role will support posting journal entries, and preparing reconciliations. Duties include providing data to assist with compliance and participating in special projects. The General Ledger Manager role is a hands-on role with supervisory responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the month-end close process including journal entry work, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial statement preparation
  • Manage and support the month-end close process for international subsidiaries in collaboration with third-party service providers
  • Focus on intercompany accounting along with the elimination and consolidation process
  • Responsible for preparing and sharing a close calendar with team members
  • Manage and develop internal resources and direct reports and build effective partnerships within Dragos.
  • Provide assistance with gathering support for all audits
  • Receives, researches, and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Provide recommendations to help streamline existing processes and procedures and assist with special projects on an as-needed basis

Requirements

  • 10-12 years of accounting experience with emphasis on financial statement preparation, multi-entity account, month-end close, and reconciliation process with four-six (4-6) years in a supervisory/management level position
  • Experience with NetSuite and MS Office
  • Experience with responsibility for financial statement preparation and the month-end close process and practical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Experience working in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment for a software as a service (SaaS) company or start-up
  • Experience with managing a team in a fast pace environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate and collaborate for problem resolution with internal staff in both the finance team and other departments, while maintaining positive working relationships
  • Strong attention to detail, self-review to yield a low error rate, organizational skills, and analytical thinking are a must coupled with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks, manage timelines, and deliver upon deadlines

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $140,000
  • Base + Benefits + Equity = $230,000
  • Comprehensive benefits plan (medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401K with match)
  • Equity at Dragos is quickly growing and the total compensation under-represents the future growth and refresh program. This will be discussed on the first call with the Dragos recruiter.
