The Financial Systems Analyst position is located within the U.S. and will support U.S. and Canada Payment Operations. This position works closely with technology to ensure financial transactions flow correctly through the various financial systems and properly account for 10M+ transactions a year. The Financial Systems Analyst will have a strong technical and analytical mindset to resolve system issues and highlight opportunities to improve the payment flow. As a member of the Payments team, you will support Asurion's overall product strategy by collaborating with cross-functional teams to onboard internal or external initiatives.

Job Description

As a Financial Systems Analyst, here's what you can expect to do:

• Act as the point of contact for all new initiatives by representing the payments team in cross functional meetings to determine financial system, reporting, and operational impacts
• Create, submit, and groom technical requirements for all back office financial platforms
• Participate in User Acceptance testing for all system related projects, consult on scenario creation, and direct on errors
• Have an in-depth understanding of how data is utilized, created, and flows from system to system
• Create, maintain, and distribute documentation, and communicate to stakeholders.
• Utilize multiple internal and external systems to perform root cause analysis on transactional data errors and provide resolution
• Collaborate with IT and Finance Delivery Leads to resolve financial system issues
• Research and respond to payment inquiries and escalations, isolating specific data elements to be corrected as well as identifying transactions that have similar characteristics
• Analyze financial payment transactions and interpret findings to provide insightful data to stakeholders
• Contribute to the documentation of processes and procedure for compliance and audit requirements
• Participate in projects in collaboration with IT and other business partners on the design and development of payment solutions

• Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Access, and Outlook
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and results oriented
• Demonstrated ability to act semi-autonomously and offer innovative insight into business processes and platforms
• Project management skills to drive the completion of projects and initiatives
• Positive attitude and team oriented
• 2+ years' experience in a payment operations or technical analyst role
