The Team:
We are the Business Intelligence team for Treasury & Finance Operations (TFO). The focus of TFO is handling Operating Cash Flow (OCF). Our team supports the sub-functions of TFO, which consists of Accounts Receivable Operations, Payroll, Travel & Expense, Accounts Payable Operations, and Treasury to drive scale and provide fuel for Salesforce's tremendous growth trajectory. Our mission is to deliver Business Intelligence with speed, scale, and control while providing fuel for Salesforce's tremendous growth trajectory. We supply insights for the operations supporting OCF with the objective of optimizing our cash conversion cycle through data analytics, financial planning, and intelligence applications. Our team consists of 1 Financial Reporting Manager and 5 Financial Reporting Analysts and partner closely with 1 Business Intelligence Sr. Manager, 2 BI Analysts, 1 Data Engineering Manager, and 4 BI Engineers.

The Role:
The financial reporting analyst will primarily support America Accounts Receivable Operations. You will partner with your peers to deliver monthly and quarterly KPIs and results metrics, as well as business insights, ad-hoc, and operational reporting support. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting and significant projects that impact all functions of our business. As a member of our team, you will constantly be learning, given executive exposure, and encouraged to leverage and implement the latest Salesforce products and technologies. In addition, you will often be asked to tackle ad-hoc/unstructured problems and partner with team members across the company to present proposals to key partners and senior-level leaders for consensus.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly results metrics and presentations
  • Provide key BI support and ad-hoc analysis to help business leaders to understand their business, and provide guidance on areas of improvement and areas to focus to meet performance measurements.
  • Assist in owning the operational strategic workforce plan for A/R operations team, including forecasting and analyzing growth trends.
  • Drive process improvement projects within A/R operations by providing timely relevant information through reporting based solutions
  • Build executive-level presentations and data visualizations
  • Become the authority on your data universe; maintain data quality and validity
  • Build a network of relationships with people in different areas of the organization in order to gain consensus for an idea that you champion
  • Provide ad-hoc and operational support to the AMER A/R Directors & Managers
  • Explore new Salesforce products and innovative solutions


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 2-4 years working in a finance role (Account Receivables experience a plus)
  • BA Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
  • Strong proficiency in excel
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and Tableau CRM
  • Self-directed/driven with excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and have strong analytical skills
  • Proven track record and passion for dissecting/solving problems with a fact-based, data-driven, meticulous, and creative approach
  • Resourceful with a strong work ethic and are willing to really commit to get work done
  • Balances multiple tasks, high visibility projects, and timelines with a sense of urgency, ownership, and within the deadline
  • Communicates in a clear, concise, and timely manner and operates optimally as a great teammate
  • Confident in running and implementing projects cross-functionally with various partners from start to finish
  • Experience with reporting in enterprise software systems: Salesforce, Oracle, Concur, Workday, Coupa, etc
  • Experience with data management tools/languages: SQL, Python, Tableau Prep, Alteryx a plus
  • Experience with process optimization, transformation, or automation a plus
  • Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley, previous experience as a SOX control owner a plus
  • Familiarity with ASC 606 a plus
