Financial Analyst (Growth FP&A)

About the Role:
You will be on the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team reporting to our Growth Finance Manager. You will become an expert on the economics of our business, focusing on Revenue generation, Cost of Sales and Marketing. You will use this knowledge to help forecast the future of the business, measure performance and lend expertise to teams across Remitly.
You Will:
- Partner with business leaders to put a financial lens on strategic decisions
- Create and own financial models that support decisions, budgeting, and comparative analysis
- Analyze financial results, identify trends, and recommend actions to management
- Understand the industry through market research, data mining, and analysis of macro trends
You Have:
- An Analytical Mindset: You enjoy working with complex data, articulating your decision-making process, and presenting findings in a simple format that resonates with team members
- A Curious Demeanor: An answer alone is insufficient - you want to know the reasoning, logic and framework supporting the answer
- A Passion for Partnership: You take pride in finding areas where your skillset can provide value and make life easier for others
- Familiarity with data manipulation using complex functions in Excel or Google Sheets
- Experience with SQL
- Knowledge of basic accounting frameworks
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, economics or another quantitative field
- 1+ years of professional experience in a quantitative, financial, accounting or management consulting role
