Job Description:
The Director - International Tax will have the opportunity to manage all tax aspects of Micron's footprint outside the United States including both direct and indirect tax aspects of the current supply chain, expansions, acquisitions, new product offerings, sales structure, global mobility and human resources support. This role will work closely with the non-US tax team to provide coordinated tax solutions. This role will also work directly with leadership as well as non-tax teams and must be able to quickly assess risk and develop solutions on-the-fly in a rapidly changing and ambiguous environment.
Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 15+ years of tax experience - Big 4 or large corporate experience preferred
  • Graduate degree or CPA or equivalent qualification preferred
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Able to identify solutions to challenging issues in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong focus on working as a team within tax as well as cross-functional groups
  • Well organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Focus on value creation and a passion for tax


Additionally, the successful candidate must have the following:

  • Proven track record of project management, risk assessment, and problem solving
  • Ability to apply basic tax concepts to non-US jurisdictions. Preference for experience working with tax rules in Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, India, Malaysia, China and EMEA
  • Understanding of transfer pricing principles and the ability to apply them across different jurisdictions
  • Experience with tax treaty analysis and their interaction with domestic law
  • Working knowledge of indirect tax frameworks including GST, VAT, and consumption taxes
  • Ability to risk assess and provide business focused solutions to tax issues in an ambiguous environment
  • Track record of solid business partnering and experience working as part of a multi-national team
