Overview
The Assistance Vice President, Portfolio Strategy is responsible for the development and implementation of scalable decision models and workflow tools used by Servicing functions. Reporting to the Vice President, this role is a blend of Finance, Technology and Operations and supports business process reengineering including documenting existing workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement, developing technology solutions and performing cost/benefit analysis. This role will work collaboratively with Servicing and Application Development.
Job Description

  • Working primarily with Excel and SQL data, develop business tools used by Servicing functions to automate or standardize existing manual processes.
  • Understand and document existing processes and creatively develop solutions to increase revenue or reduce cost/processing time.
  • Collaborate with Servicing operational units to develop and track cost/benefit analyses.
  • Manage unit and process testing, including any required integration with other systems.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values.

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Candidates should be highly proficient in MS Excel and proficient in SQL.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Operations, Management Information Systems or similar professional experience.
  • Knowledge of mortgage banking, loan operations, underwriting, or loss mitigation is a plus.
  • Self-starter with strong time management and planning skills
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to interface with various internal and external stakeholders including operations, application development, and external investors/insurers.
