About Apptegy

Since our start in 2015, we’ve gone from a group of individuals to a community pushing toward the same goal of building a fantastic company with great people, great products, and, most importantly, a great culture. To date, we have grown from a handful of school districts in Arkansas to thousands of school districts across the U.S.

Apptegy is building products to empower school leaders to run better schools. We have the opportunity to help schools as they go through a radical shift in how they operate and to provide great technology to make that transition.

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist…

You will support our finance and accounting team to help us scale our accounting function. We’re growing quickly and need someone that can be part of making us efficient and effective. 

You will be involved in and responsible for:

-Customer invoice calls for all new invoices and aged invoices after 60 days.

-Additional follow-up with customers as needed to include resending invoices or POs that need to be completed. 

-Manage communication with customers that come in through email, phone calls, and the Client Experience team.

-Record deposits and manage reconciliation for check and credit card payments.

-Prepare end-of-month A/R reports for the month-end close process. 

-Assist with balance sheet reconciliations related to A/R. 

-Manage and maintain relationships with Boards of Cooperative Educational Services. 

What you should bring to the table:

-You have a four-year college degree in Accounting or have comparable, continuous work experience.

-You have 1-2 years of accounting experience in a professional work environment.

-You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to focus to finish work.

-Comfortable working in Microsoft Excel.

-A desire to be part of a fast-growing company.

2. Strong technical skills: You enjoy making Excel work smarter for you. You have some experience with pivot tables, advanced formulas (SUMIFS, SUMPRODUCT, VLOOKUP, etc), and can access many of the powerful, advanced functions. 

3. Thoughtful intensity: You are intense in your work and can manage on your own, but you also know how to look up and help others. You know that Finance is a team that helps Apptegy’s teams, clients, and investors. Working diligently gives you the opportunity to help others and take things off their plate when needed.

4. Growth mindset: You are mastering the skill of self-improvement and see every obstacle as an opportunity to learn and grow. While you take pride in everyday work, you also take pride in overcoming new challenges —whether technical or personal in nature.

5. To learn how we think & be coachable: In this position, you’ll have an opportunity to work with a number of people. We want you to be open and coachable to how we craft experiences for our clients. Our aim (and your aim) must be to take an Apptegy approach to every interaction and look for ways to surprise our clients.
