Curriculum Associates is seeking to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our expanding finance team. The accounts payable specialist role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to resolve routine accounts payable issues. This position will be responsible for the timely invoice entry and processing of vendor payments. This position may also be assigned special projects.
The impact you’ll have:
- Monitor AP mailbox for incoming invoices to be processed and paid
- Assist with the development of AP processes and procedures
- Ensure invoices are coded properly and entered into Workday accounts payable module in a timely, accurate manner
- Assist with review of employee expense reports and ensure they follow corporate policy
- Ensure correct purchase order matching and proper approvals are obtained
- Follow up on invoice approval/processing issues
- Resolve invoice to PO matching discrepancies
- Assist with maintenance of vendor
- Assist with generation of 1099’s
- Assist with special projects as needed
Who we're looking for:
- 2 – 4 years previous accounts payable experience
- Willingness to accept new responsibilities when necessary
- Flexibility in working with functions across the organization
- Ability to meet deadlines in connection with weekly payment runs, as well as month-end close
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
- Self-driven, self-starter, goal-oriented
- Ability to work independently as well as with AP Team
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and verbal and written communications skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a high-volume environment
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
We’d be thrilled if you also had these skills (not required):
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred but not required
Location: This role will be based out of our Billerica, MA office. CA has implemented a flexible work approach, which enables employees on office-based teams to work in-office 2 days/week and remotely 3 days/week. Strong remote candidates will be considered.
