ROLE OVERVIEW

The Finance Transformation Project Manager is a finance professional with strong systems knowledge and project-management capabilities who will support the transformation of Tracxtion’s finance operating environment.

Reporting to the SVP, Finance, this role will be responsible for coordinating and driving key finance transformation initiatives, including the integration of agencies onto common financial systems and processes and the implementation of a group-wide financial consolidation platform.

This is a hands-on role requiring a solid understanding of accounting processes, financial data and systems. The successful candidate will translate finance requirements into detailed implementation plans, coordinate work across Finance and other functions, identify dependencies and risks, and maintain momentum through to completion.

The ideal candidate combines financial acumen with exceptional organization, persistence and attention to detail. They are comfortable working through ambiguity, asking detailed questions, following up consistently and bringing structure to complex initiatives involving multiple entities and stakeholders.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance Transformation Project Management

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans for finance transformation initiatives, including milestones, dependencies, responsibilities, risks and decision points.

• Coordinate the integration of acquired agencies onto common financial systems, processes and reporting standards.

• Support the implementation of a group-wide consolidation system, from requirements gathering and planning through testing, deployment and stabilization.

• Establish effective project governance, including status reporting, working sessions, decision logs, risk and issue tracking, and escalation processes.

• Monitor progress against agreed timelines and deliverables, proactively identifying delays, gaps and competing priorities.

• Follow up consistently with project owners and stakeholders to ensure commitments are completed and issues are resolved.

Finance Process and Systems Integration

• Work with Finance leaders and subject-matter experts to document current-state processes and define future-state requirements.

• Develop a detailed understanding of financial workflows across agencies, including the general ledger, month-end close, revenue, billing, accounts payable, payroll, intercompany transactions and management reporting.

• Help identify differences in agency processes, data structures and accounting practices that must be addressed before systems integration.

• Translate finance and accounting requirements into clear functional requirements for internal technology teams, implementation partners and software vendors.

• Support the standardization of charts of accounts, reporting dimensions, entity structures, policies and finance workflows.

• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual work and improve the quality and consistency of financial information.

Data Migration, Testing and Implementation Readiness

• Coordinate data collection, cleansing, mapping and validation activities required for system migrations.

• Maintain detailed trackers for data requirements, configuration decisions, outstanding items and implementation dependencies.

• Develop and coordinate testing plans, test cases and acceptance criteria in partnership with Finance stakeholders.

• Support user acceptance testing and ensure identified issues are documented, assigned, resolved and retested.

• Coordinate cutover planning, implementation readiness assessments and post-launch issue management.

• Ensure appropriate reconciliations and financial controls are incorporated into migration and implementation plans.

Stakeholder and Change Management

• Build effective working relationships across Tracxtion’s agencies and functions, including Finance, Operations, People & Culture and Technology.

• Facilitate working sessions with finance and non-finance stakeholders to gather information, resolve issues and advance project decisions.

• Communicate project requirements, progress, risks and decisions clearly to stakeholders with varying levels of finance and systems knowledge.

• Help agency teams understand upcoming changes, implementation expectations and their responsibilities within the project.

• Support the development of training materials, communications and transition plans to enable successful adoption.

Documentation and Continuous Improvement

• Develop and maintain clear process documentation, standard operating procedures, implementation guides and project records.

• Ensure key requirements, decisions and process changes are documented and accessible.

• Capture lessons learned and apply them to subsequent agency integrations and transformation initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field.

• 4-5 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial operations, finance systems or finance transformation.

• Strong understanding of core accounting processes and experience supporting a finance-system implementation, ERP migration, consolidation project or similar initiative.

• Strong systems aptitude and the ability to understand how financial processes, data and technology connect.

• Demonstrated ability to develop detailed project plans, coordinate multiple workstreams and drive deliverables through to completion.

• Highly organized, persistent and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is xxx-xxx Individual compensation within this range is determined based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, level of responsibility, internal equity, and business needs. This range represents the expected base salary for this role and does not include other elements of SALT’s total rewards program. 

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field
  • 4-5 years progressive experience in accounting, financial operations, finance systems or finance transformation
  • Experience supporting a finance-system implementation, ERP migration, consolidation project or similar initiative
  • Strong understanding of core accounting processes (general ledger, month-end close, revenue, billing, accounts payable, payroll, intercompany)
