Finance Transformation & Corporate Development Manager
Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Role Purpose
To support the CFO in driving finance transformation, technology-enabled automation, and strategic corporate development initiatives. The role combines finance process improvement, data and automation initiatives, financial analysis, and support for M&A and strategic projects.
The role will help build a scalable, efficient, and insight-driven finance function at Thunes by leveraging technology, analytics, and strategic thinking.
Key Responsibilities
1. Finance Technology & Automation
* Support the CFO in developing and executing the finance automation roadmap.
* Identify opportunities to automate finance processes, reporting, forecasting, and controls.
* Partner with Finance, Technology, and Data teams to implement digital finance solutions.
* Improve reporting efficiency through dashboards, analytics tools, and process automation.
* Support evaluation and adoption of AI and emerging technologies within Finance.
* Document and improve finance processes to enable scalability.
2. Strategic Finance & Analytics
* Support the CFO and Finance leadership team with strategic analysis and business insights.
* Build financial models, scenario analysis, and business cases for key initiatives.
* Analyse business performance, profitability drivers, and cost optimisation opportunities.
* Support executive reporting and preparation of leadership materials.
3. Corporate Development Support
* Support evaluation of acquisitions, investments, partnerships, and strategic opportunities.
* Perform financial analysis, valuation modelling, and market research.
* Support M&A due diligence activities and integration planning.
* Prepare analysis and presentations for senior management discussions.
* Track market trends and competitive developments in the payments and fintech sector.
4. Strategic Projects
* Support CFO-led transformation and strategic initiatives.
* Coordinate cross-functional projects involving Finance, Technology, Product, and Operations teams.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Finance organisation.

Candidate Profile
Experience
* 4–8 years of experience in finance, FP&A, consulting, corporate development, investment banking, or finance transformation.
* Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
* Experience with finance systems, automation, data analytics, or process improvement preferred.
* Experience in fintech, payments, technology, or high-growth environments is advantageous.
