What’s the opportunity?
- We are seeking a Finance Transformation Automation Associate to drive the automation of financial and operational reconciliations. This role involves integrating data sources from banks and processors (APIs, SFTP, email), standardizing controls, and systematizing variance analysis to accelerate closes and reduce rework. The role blends financial–operational knowledge with skills in data ingestion services, and secure connectivity to move and validate data at scale. Success in this role requires strong proficiency in Excel, familiarity with SQL and Python, and a strong focus on continuous improvement in an agile, fast-paced environment.
What will I be doing?
- Integrate and maintain data sources from banks/processors via APIs, SFTP, and email workflows, ensuring data quality, completeness, and traceability.
- Execute and improve reconciliation controls for the different types of transactions supported by dashboards, matching rules, and audit evidence.
- Prepare and cleanse inputs (reconcilable groups, rules, sweeps), coordinating adjustments and new implementations with responsible teams.
- Analyze variances and differences across banks, processors, and internal records; conduct root-cause analysis and propose remedial actions and automation solutions.
- Develop analytical models (pivot tables, lookups; Power Query/Power Pivot, or equivalent) for KPIs, variance monitoring, and control tracking.
- Manage tickets and workflows in Jira for new reconciliations, rule/sweep changes, file uploads/removals, following strong documentation practices.
- Collaborate with Business Assurance, Operations, Treasury, Accounting, Product, and Data to resolve incidents, capture requirements, and coordinate UAT for new integrations.
- Standardize SOPs, strengthen controls, and scale end-to-end automations to reduce manual work, and rework during closes.
- Support multiple projects simultaneously in an agile context: gathering requirements, coordinating with stakeholders, performing UAT, and managing change.
What skills do I need?
- 2-4+ years in Finance Transformation, Treasury, Finance Operations, Engineering, or Process Automation, ideally within payments, fintech, or banking.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Experience with SQL, Python and automation, with a track record of implementing tech-driven solutions.
- Experience with data ingestion and secure connectivity: APIs, SFTP, CSV/JSON; familiarity with VPN and SSH keys.
- Experience with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, ability to context-switch across multiple projects.
- Growth mindset with high adaptability, comfort with change, and an agile way of working.
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
