PURPOSE OF ROLE

As APMT & Maersk accelerates on its transformation journey, our role as the Finance organization is to enable and secure this change. As we take on this journey, we have launched Lean to be one of the main pillars to enable this transformation. LEAN is the fundament in how we operate within APMT and LEAN will enable us to Lift Ambitions so that we can achieve our mission with becoming that Truly Integrated Terminal.

With these two key components, LEAN along with support of Finance Academy, we will make sure we develop our people so that they have the right capabilities to do their best and that we as a function can reach our mission. The Academy and Lean Partner role is a critical role in supporting the delivery of our learning strategy and to coach our employees. This is a diverse and fast-moving role with a broad remit

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES - GSC LEAN Partner (80%)

  • Responsible to execute on the global agenda agreed for Finance GSC to actively improve the business by using Lean.
  • Proactively work with the other functions to share best practice and to support the LEAN agenda within Finance GSC
  • Be visible in the organization by actively do Gemba’s and Process Confirmations.
  • Positively influence and actively manage behaviour change locally
  • Actively work with the Head of Departments (or assigned) to see how maturity can improve and also to share best practice.
  • Keep an oversight over the training degree of our employees within GSC and support them in getting trained.
  • Responsible for delivering OS Leadership Training and the Lean For All Program in GSC
  • Be a coach and support both Problem solving sessions and Kaizens as well as selected individuals that want to increase the LEAN level.
  • Facilitate Kaizen Events
  • Drive and plan events that focus on using the LEAN methodology in daily work.
  • Ensure that all Kaizen activities including benefits are reported
  • Actively communicate achievements and successes with the broader finance community

FINANCE ACADEMY (20%)

  • Responsible to execute on the global agenda agreed for Finance GSC to actively ensure that our employees in the GSC are skilled to do a excellent work.
  • Support the design, development and roll out of the targeted upskilling programs that have been identified to support prioritized capabilities.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all new joiners in the GSC goes through the TREE programme by coordinating with the Finance L&D trainer.
  • Responsible for delivering Lean trainings to the GSC APMT execution team members, to support the Finance L&D trainer
  • Gather statistic and follow up/take proper actions to increase participation of trainings and usage of online trainings
  • Cross collaboration between the brands to see how we can utilize and share training concepts.
  • Work actively with the GPELs and the process Leads to identify any gaps and then propose and work with the Academy to identify training opportunities (training, knowledge sharing sessions, focus sessions etc.)
  • Collect and evaluate feedback on how we can improve training and onboarding and propose suggestion on how we can improve.
  • Co-responsible for the APMT Finance Academy SharePoint site which includes keeping it up to date and with relevant news and information.
  • Coordinate and support in facilitate and communication of trainings. During trainings as well as beforehand.

Must have skills :

  • 3-5 years experience with Lean methodologies
  • Must be capable of driving change and coaching employees at all levels, including senior leaders and frontline team members
  • Must be a strong and empathetic communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Must have strong relationship building skills, at all levels, specially with frontline personnel eg GSC and TBC
  • Be able to work professionally in a matrix organization
  • Be able to drive, mobilize and navigate in a large organization
  • Project Management Experience and LEAN certification/experience is a strong benefit but not a must
  • Experience in learning design and is up to date with learning trends
  • Must be adaptable to constant change and unstructured/flexible working team environment
  • Must be self-motivated and always striving for excellence and exceeding expectations
  • Excellent professional communication skills
  • L&D background is a benefit - Competency frameworks, learning technology, learning evaluation
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 tools like excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint & Viva
