The Role

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Systems Manager to oversee and optimize the company’s NetSuite ERP environment. This role will serve as the strategic lead for NetSuite functionality, governance, enhancements, and compliance—especially in a publicly traded, SOX-regulated environment

This position will partner closely with Finance, IT, SOX, and other business stakeholders to ensure NetSuite is leveraged effectively, securely, and in full compliance with audit requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

NetSuite Administration & Strategy 

  • Serve as the company’s NetSuite subject matter expert and system owner.Manage NetSuite system configuration, customization, user roles, permissions, workflows, saved searches, dashboards, and reports.
  • Lead the roadmap and prioritization of NetSuite improvements, upgrades, and integrations.Evaluate and manage third-party tools and integrations within the NetSuite ecosystem (e.g., Coupa, Kyriba, FloQast, Snowflake, Github, etc.).
  • Provide technical leadership on NetSuite projects, including new module implementations and cross-functional process automation.

SOX Compliance & Audit Support

  • Own and enforce SOX-compliant change management processes related to NetSuite.
  • Partner with the Opendoor SOX team and external auditors to ensure full compliance with SOX ITGC and application controls.
  • Maintain segregation of duties within NetSuite through user access reviews, role provisioning, and periodic audits.
  • Ensure traceability of changes with appropriate approval workflows, documentation, and audit logs.
  • Coordinate timely response to audit requests and provide required system evidence, configurations, and screenshots.
  • Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
  • May manage or mentor junior administrators.
  • Act as the liaison between business users and IT/Finance leadership to align NetSuite capabilities with business needs.
  • Conduct user training, documentation, and onboarding support.
  • Facilitate end-user satisfaction through continuous system performance tuning and optimization.

We’re looking for teammates who have:

  • 5+ years of hands-on NetSuite administration experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or managerial role.
  • Experience operating within a SOX-compliant environment; familiarity with ITGC and access control requirements.
  • Proven track record of leading NetSuite enhancements, integrations, and system governance.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, risk assessment, and audit readiness.
  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

Bonus Points:

  • NetSuite Administrator or SuiteFoundation certification.
  • Experience in a public company or pre-IPO environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
