As a Finance Stress Test Associate, we’ll look to you to support baseline and live management of plans to manage and track internal stress test and regulatory stress test deliverables, such as ICAAP, Bank of England and European Banking Authority stress tests. Additionally, you’ll have regular interaction with internal and external subject matter experts and stakeholders on controls management, plans, issues and ad-hoc items, EUDA, RACI matrix and RCA.
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
- Assisting with baseline planning and live management of internal and regulatory stress test deliverables, including ICAAP, Bank of England (BoE), and European Banking Authority (EBA) stress tests
- Analysing drivers of financial resource utilization, including capital consumption, impairments, and risk-weighted assets. Provide insights into balance sheet movements and stress transmission mechanisms across risk types
- Liaising with technology and quant teams on system developments, automation initiatives, and stress engine enhancements to ensure platforms are ready for on-demand execution
- Ensuring strong controls and governance across the stress testing lifecycle, including documentation and audit readiness
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Finance, Risk, Treasury, and Technology
- Communicating key insights, assumptions, and results clearly to stakeholders
To excel in this role, you’ll need a qualification in Engineering, MBA or CA from a tier-1 institute. You’ll also need an understanding of investment banking and trading, with knowledge of different products that investment banking trades in, their risks and the types of clients they service.
In addition, you should demonstrate:
- Experience in Stress Testing or Treasury Capital or Balance Sheet Management or Financial Modelling
- A qualification in CFA/FRM is preferred.
- Atleast two years of hands on experience in Python programming, including ability to work with large datasets, perform complex data analysis, and derive meaningful insights.
- Experience in AWS is preferable4.
- Strong understanding of bank’s balance sheet including drivers of P&L, capital, and liquidity along with good knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as BoE/PRA/ECB stress tests, ICAAP and capital management
