This role is open to candidates currently working as Record‑to‑Report (R2R) / RTR Analysts or Senior Analysts, GL Accountants / Senior GL Accountants, Financial Accountants, R2R / GL Specialists or Executives, Shared Services RTR / GL / Financial Reporting Analysts, or full‑set / General Ledger Accountants in corporate or group finance, who have around 5 years’ experience in R2R/GL, including journals, reconciliations, closing and some fixed asset exposure, ideally with SAP and strong Excel skills.

In this role, you take ownership for end‑to‑end Record‑to‑Report processes and help ensure that our financial information is reliable and meaningful.

  • Execute Record‑to‑Report activities for assigned legal entities – from month‑end to year‑end closing.

  • Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records.

  • Prepare financial reports and reporting packs in line with global and statutory requirements.

  • Perform analysis and prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.

  • Process journal entries, accruals and adjustments as part of the closing cycle.

  • Handle intercompany account reconciliations, invoice processing and related payments.

  • Prepare bank reconciliations and cash reporting.

  • Process and maintain fixed asset transactions, ensuring complete documentation and compliance.

  • Prepare and update intercompany withholding tax information for payment and submission.

  • Support audit and tax queries by preparing schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation.

  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in other teams to obtain trial balances, clarify variances and resolve data discrepancies.

  • Contribute to system and process changes, including updating process documentation and participating in projects.

What sets you apart
  • A degree in finance, accounting, business studies or a comparable field.

  • Around 5 years of experience in Record‑to‑Report / General Ledger roles.

  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and closing processes.

  • Practical experience with SAP and confident use of Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and reconciliation skills, with high attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks in parallel and deliver high‑quality results to deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative way of working across functions and locations.

  • Proficiency in English is required. Japanese language skills are a good-to-have plus for supporting Japan entity stakeholders, but not mandatory.

  • You bring a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset and are open to improving processes over time.

Skills Required

  • Degree in finance, accounting, business studies or comparable field
  • Around 5 years of experience in Record-to-Report / General Ledger roles
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and closing processes
  • Practical experience with SAP

  • Experience processing journals, accruals and month-end close activities
