You'll be at the heart of our dynamic Finance Operations team (currently 10 people including this role) in Berlin-Charlottenburg and report to the local Head of Finance Operations.
Important: This role is based in Berlin-Charlottenburg. Candidates based in Berlin should be comfortable travelling to our Munich office 1–2 days bi-weekly during the first 6 months. We are also open to candidates currently based in Munich who are willing to commute to Berlin 1–2 times per month during the same initial onboarding period — and who are open to relocating to Berlin over time.

Who you are and what we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles
- Experience with modern ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Netsuite) and finance tech stacks (e.g., Salesforce). Proven ability to quickly adapt to new software and tools is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications as well as Google Workspace
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, being able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Fluent in English, basic German is a must
- Adaptability to changing priorities and workload
- Professional discretion when handling confidential information
What You Will Do:
Project Management and Process Implementation
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of expense-related projects, including technical and operational implementations such as expense-management automation and Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process and policy rollouts.
- Develop and maintain project plans covering scope, milestones, risks, resource allocation and stakeholder communications.
- Support the design and implementation of financial processes from the ground up, building a strong understanding of the relevant finance architecture, systems and tools.
- Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls.
Purchase-to-Pay Operations
- Oversee the end-to-end operational management of mobile.de’s Purchase-to-Pay process.
- Partner with budget managers and support them throughout the purchasing process, including vendor onboarding, contract processing, purchase order creation, invoice processing and payment.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Process financial transactions, including accounts payable, in a timely and accurate manner.
Budget and Contract Management
- Monitor budget expenditure and conduct actual-versus-plan analysis for one of the company’s key departments.
- Coordinate contract creation in collaboration with the relevant business budget owner, Procurement and Legal.
