Finance Operations Manager

🏢This is a Hybrid role, working from our London (Old Street) Offices 3 days per week.

What You’ll Be Doing

Do you want to immerse yourself in the financial operations of an exciting and growing FinTech? Are you keen to get involved with reconciliation and analysis to ensure the finance function of the business runs smoothly? If so, we're looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and ambitious Finance Operations Manager to join our finance team.

This is a group role, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. You'll be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You'll have a significant opportunity to add value to the business by identifying and implementing system and process changes that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control. This critical position requires strong financial operations experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.

• Oversee core financial operations, including payroll, accounts payable, and customer account reconciliations.
• Manage the month-end close process and deliver insightful financial analysis to senior management.
• Lead and mentor a team of part-qualified/qualified accountants, acting as a key business partner.
• Coordinate strategic financial processes, such as debt sales and the annual external audit.
• Develop and maintain robust financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Support the Financial Controller with ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives as required.

We’re Looking For 🔎

• Proven experience in financial operations with a strong understanding of internal controls and systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and SQL for reporting; experience with NetSuite is beneficial.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with all levels of the business.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
