Financial accountant

Location: Lviv, Kyiv, or Lisbon (In-office for Lisbon and Kyiv, hybrid for Lviv with occasional business travel). 

Position Highlights 

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial accountant to support the head of finance with daily financial and administrative tasks.  
This role focuses on bookkeeping, document management, and handling reimbursements.  
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in finance/accounting, is eager to learn, and capable of working independently while taking ownership of their responsibilities.  
Logical thinking, strong analytical skills, and a willingness to figure things out are a must.
Responsibilities

• Perform bookkeeping and record financial transactions. 
• Manage accounts payable/receivable and assist with related financial tasks. 
• Organize and maintain document management on cloud-based platforms. 
• Assist in preparing monthly or quarterly financial reports. 
• Process and manage reimbursement requests, ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping in accordance with company policies. 
• Provide ad-hoc support, including preparing financial documents and assisting with various tasks within the finance function. 

• Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. 
• At least 1 year of relevant practical experience. 
• Solid understanding of basic finance and accounting principles. 
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software. 
• Experience with LLM for solving the automation tasks.  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) or Google Workspace. 
• Familiarity with cloud-based document systems (e.g., Box, Google Drive). 
• Experience with Python will be a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently. 
• Exceptional organizational skills for efficiently managing financial data and documents. 
• A strong sense of responsibility and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information. 
• Proactive and eager to learn, with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools and processes. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (B2 level or higher).
