We are looking for a bilingual, analytical, and hands-on Business Operations Analyst to join our growing team in Tokyo.
This is a cross-functional role at the intersection of operations, data, payments, and client support. While the position sits within the Finance organization, it is not a traditional accounting role.
You will work closely with global teams including company functions (customer service, ops, tech, payments, product, account management) as well as company clients.
- Preparation of complex sales/operational reports
- Perform client reconciliations
- Serving as financial point of contact for company clients
- Investigate and resolve daily operational and financial discrepancies
- Monitor and resolve daily financial queries
- Conduct meetings with clients including various training on company financial products/flows (long-term growth path)
- Fluent in both Japanese and English (business level required)
- Highly analytical and comfortable working with numbers and data
- B.A/ B.Sc- a must. In Statistics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems or another quantitative field- an advantage
- Advanced Excel skills- a must
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Hands-on and detail-oriented
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to influence, handle objections, and resolve client’s questions.
- The ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- A minimum of 3 years of experience
- Korean – a significant advantage
- Experience with SQL- an advantage
- Must be based in Japan.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with hybrid working arrangements. The role will require you to be in the Tokyo office 3 days a week. Our standard working hours is 9am-6pm.
