Job Description:
The Finance NextGen Programme is an Airbus Defence & Space-wide development programme. This programme is designed to identify and develop talented Leaders for the Airbus Finance Community who will contribute significantly towards achieving our business goals. The Finance NextGen Programme - sponsored by Airbus Defence & Space' CFO - enables its participants to enhance financial know-how and expertise, combined with further learning in management and leadership competencies.
The mission of the programme:
· Fostering and deepening participants’ financial knowledge and expertise on the Airbus world of Finance, enlarging the scope to the international financial context
· Linking formal learning with rotating, real-business project assignments
· Increasing participants’ project management and leadership competencies
· Encouraging networking, job shadowing, mobility and cross-cultural experiences
· Mentorship from a member of the Finance Top Management
This Program consists of two assignments in two different countries. Each assignment lasts for a period of two years. They are combined with off-the-job modules, designed to strengthen participant’s management and financial competencies.

A vacancy has arisen in the lines of our Bids Finance area: As a Bids Finance Manager, you will be a vital part in the Finance community and the Air Power LTA & Tanker Bids Finance organization:
- You will be responsible to set-up prices based on cost collection and consolidation and will prepareprofitability analyses, cash-flows, payment profiles, amortization plans and risk registers as necessary 
for the commercial offers, and will validate the consistency of the overall file.
- You will prepare the price strat gy towards our customers in close cooperation with Sales and Programs. You will as well support the definition with Legal and Contracts of the applicable terms & conditions and contractual structure of legal entities. Moreover, you will present the business cases to the approval boards (RMC Process) and support the commercial negotiations with the customer to ensure that the profitability targets are met. 
- You will lead the price investigations for bids and as well negotiate the final prices with our customers based on the results of the investigations. Finally, you will support the management of customer contracts including claims and waivers during contract execution in close cooperation with Sales and Program Lines and in alignment with Commercial & Contracts. All of the above is as well applicable to the contract amendments, contract changes or aircraft upgrades that will be contracted during a contract execution. 
- Being a Bids Finance Manager requires a robust business understanding, a feeling for numbers and solid social skills to be able to manage your stakeholders in adversity towards the best business decisions for the company. The role is challenging in its complexity and has to be undertaken by somebody who is capable to understand the people, the product and the numbers. You will work with the Bids team and be embedded in the Finance community. A high level of self-awareness, emotional intelligence, conflict management skills, persistence, and assertiveness are required to master this business partnering role. 
- Your Bids Finance Manager role will be in the Tankers and Upgrades Bids Finance position. 
- This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth. 
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Finance, Engineering, Business Management or equivalent 
- MBA or other post graduate degree is desirable 
- A least 3 years of experience in activities which have allowed you to acquire sound skills and knowledge of: 
- Experience in pricing and financial models, Business Case and in price negotiations.
- Excellent financial and negotiation skills and the ability to persuade, influence, collaborate and convince. Ability to understand and interpret customer expectations and budgets availability
- Ability to challenge costing information and prepare Target Must Costs.
- Ability to develop pricing strategies, including ability to assimilate different facts and opinions in determining innovative pricing solutions to satisfy a wide range of stakeholders
- Great analytical skills, understanding of commercial risk and capability to develop mitigation plans.
- Experience of working in a matrix environment with proven record of successful stakeholder management. Experience in working in cross-functional teams 
- Knowledge of military programs and LTA and Tankers platforms would be beneficial 
- Fluent in written and spoken English & Spanish / German / French, including fluency in communication using commercial and technical vocabulary

This position has a high visibility in Finance and in the functions it is interfacing with Programs, Engineering, Operations, Services and other Finance areas like Treasury, Customer Finance, etc.
