About the role:
As a Finance Manager, you’ll lead our finance operations in Austria. You’ll play a key role in supporting our next phase of growth as we scale internationally.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll oversee core financial processes, and provide insight to support business decision-making. You’ll also help embed best practices following our move to Xero, ensuring our systems, processes, and people are set up to scale with confidence.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, bringing clarity to the numbers and helping guide smarter decisions as we grow.

Key Goals & Objectives:
- Working with the wider global finance team, building capability and confidence across accounts payable, receivable, and reporting
- Deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and actionable insight
- Ensure compliance with Austrian financial regulations (UGB) and EU requirements, including timely Umsatzsteuer (VAT) submissions
- Maintain strong financial control across the business, including oversight of the general ledger and balance sheet
- Support multi-entity, multi-currency operations across Europe and the wider group
- Coordinate payroll with local Austrian/EU providers, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Drive improvements in financial systems and processes, reducing manual work and increasing efficiency
- Support senior leadership with financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic decision-making
- Play a key role in the year-end audit process, working closely with external auditors

- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and smooth day-to-day operations
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet reporting
- Maintain and continuously improve financial records and controls within Xero
- Ensure compliance with Austrian accounting standards (UGB) and relevant EU regulations
- Coordinate with external partners, including auditors, tax advisors, and payroll providers
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement more efficient ways of working
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and support decision-making
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience in management accounts
- Relevant accounting qualification (e.g. Bilanzbuchhalter, ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent experience)
- Strong experience producing P&L, balance sheet, and management accounts
- Experience using Xero
- Experience working within Austrian or European financial regulations (UGB)
- Experience managing or mentoring team members
- Confident communicator, able to work effectively with non-finance stakeholders
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Fluent in German and English
Desirable:
- Experience in a fast-growing or scaling business
- Exposure to operations across Europe and/or the US
- Experience working in multi-entity, multi-currency environments
- Experience improving systems or implementing new processes
- Interest in supporting international expansion
- Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working with a high level of autonomy
