The Opportunity
This position works out of our Alajuela, Coyol location in the Vascular division that provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for the treatment of vascular disease.
This manager-level role is responsible for reporting, planning and analyzing financial performance. Prepares financial plans and forecasts based on performance expectations. Gathers and publishes financial information related to historical, current and future performance. Performs financial analysis concepts and techniques. Recommends alternative course of action.
Selects and develops finance team for succession planning. Leads the Continues Improvement System.
What You’ll Do
- Lead on site cost reduction - establish and maintain a value-adding partnership with the leadership providing timely, insightful management reporting with an emphasis on, and attainment of superior financial performance through collaboration and high standards in financial stewardship.
- Monitor, prepare and lead the review of financial reports and packages with site leadership by gathering and analyzing information related to current performance and provide recommendation to upper management related to Cost of Sales, Unit Cost, Productivity etc.
- Manage detailed financial forecasts incorporating historic, trended and current business information – the output of which is clearly articulated plans through presentation and review.
- Ensure all financial data is of the highest integrity while supporting and championing system change in the organization through continuous improvement of both the SAP and Hyperion reporting systems.
- Perform financial appraisal and analysis, recommending alternatives courses of action by utilizing appropriate financial tools (E.g. DCF/ROI analysis).
- Develop and implement financial strategies for business opportunities, new products and spending initiatives by modeling alternative financial scenarios (e.g. revenues, margin, cost etc.).
- Provide direction and be the owner of the Finance team development, ensuring the finance team provides efficient and effective support to the manufacturing site and provide accurate and timely submissions to site, division & corporate.
Shift: Admin (Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm)
On-Site position
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business/finance or other professional financial qualifications (e.g. CPA etc.).
- 9+ years combined General Accounting, Manufacturing Accounting and/or Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis preferred.
- Strong competencies in analysis, goal setting, quality focus, communication, interpersonal relations, teamwork, leadership, customer service, people development and risk management.
- Proven ability to be a self-starter with ability to operate in fast-paced environments.
- Proven ability to facilitate cross-functional change at all levels of the organization.
- Well developed leadership attributes with strong data analysis and communication capabilities.
- Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree optional.
- Knowledge of SAP and Hyperion Planning desirable.
