What we’re looking for?

We are looking for a Finance Manager to become a key member of our team. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership qualities, sound technical accounting knowledge, and a proactive mindset toward continuous improvement. Within this role, you will be managing financial accounting, compliances, analytical review, reporting, project/job cost accounting, and With-holding applicability and tax related acumen for construction project while also ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and controls.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the global month-end and year-end general ledger close processes.
  • Preparation and review of income statement reconciliations and perform timely substantiation of financial balances for all global entities, not limited to India operations.
  • Continuously evaluate existing accounting processes to identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and automation.
  • Ensure timely compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Support internal and external audit processes globally by providing accurate and complete documentation.
  • Oversee the financial management of capital projects, by monitoring project budgets and managing appropriate cost codes.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and internal stakeholders to track project-related expenditure and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain and reconcile work-in-progress (WIP) schedules, ensuring proper capitalization of costs in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Apply sound knowledge of project costing principles, including retention accounting, progress billing, and other construction-related financial treatments applicable to internal projects.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations including correct application of withholding tax (TDS) and documentation for statutory reporting.
  • Proactively address and resolve financial queries from senior management by providing clear, timely, and well-supported responses.
  • Ad-hoc analyses are required.
  • To manage SEZ related compliances and filings.

Experience he will bring:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 7+ years of overall experience in a finance role in a fast-paced environment. And, managerial experience of 2+ years handling a dynamic team.
  • Strong business fundamentals and financial acumen, logical and efficient, with keen attention to details.
  • Should have extensive knowledge in accounting under relevant accounting standards and contribute to the new accounting /reporting initiatives.
  • Prior experience in the financial accounting and reporting area.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in leading and managing team with a focus on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Exposure to project-based accounting for internal construction projects is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and to manage team with roll-up-your sleeves attitude.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities as required and on ad-hoc basis.
  • Resolve conflicts constructively and foster a supportive work environment.
  • Service excellence with client-first mindset, and work to deliver solutions that meet your client’s needs.
  • Advanced Excel and Power Point skills required.
