Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Manager will handle high-level accounting transactions and oversee the financial activities of the company. The Accounting Manager will manage and supervise all aspects of accounting. A successful candidate will not be afraid to get into the details, will be highly analytical, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work well with the leadership team and partners across the organization.Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 2-3 staff and help develop their skills to better serve the team and the business
- Prepare monthly and quarterly consolidated financial reporting packages to ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements following IFRS while adhering to tight timelines
- Manage revenue recognition processes to ensure compliance with IFRS 15
- Assist Director of Finance with quarterly forecasting process, including collaborating with various stakeholders on inputs such as sales pipeline, staffing costs, capital expenditures, etc., to prepare a robust forecast
- Oversee accounts payable and receivables processes and manage working capital
- Recommend and implement process improvements to ensure the finance function operates effectively and efficiently
- Work closely with corporate and portfolio finance teams and manage ad hoc requests in a timely manner
- Provide strategic financial leadership on issues affecting the business
- Work closely with senior leadership team to ensure projects bids and contract terms, financial and otherwise, adhere to corporate legal parameters, including identifying potential business risks and mitigation strategies
- Serve as lead audit contact and coordinate audit processes with external and internal auditors

- Business acumen: solid understanding of business operations and industry trends to make informed financial decisions
- Collaboration: able to collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that financial plans align with the overall business strategy
- Ethics: high level of ethics and integrity to ensure that financial data and reporting are accurate and transparent
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 7+ years’ relevant work experience in finance or accounting
- CPA preferred
- Audit experience preferred
