Context of the role

Reporting to the Global Head of Finance, this role will be based in Singapore. He/She will support the Finance team in the team management, global finance operations and assist to implement policies, systems, and programs in a fast-evolving Fintech company. 

Key Responsibilities

People Management

• Supervise and lead a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative team environment
• Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals, and identify training and development opportunities for team members
• Build and maintain a high-performance culture within the finance team

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis
• Contribute to the preparation of financial forecasts

Financial Operations

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and expense management
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls

Audit Oversight

• Coordinate and liaise with internal and external auditors
• Assist in FS preparation
• In charge and oversee the audit process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of audit requirements
• Implement audit recommendations and improvements in financial processes

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide insights
• Collaborate with the Finance Director and other stakeholders to achieve financial goals

Cash Management

• Oversee cash flow management, ensuring optimal utilisation of funds and maintaining liquidity
• Collaborate with Treasury to manage banking relationships and optimise financial transactions

Financial Reporting

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Provide accurate and timely financial information to management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making

Professional Experience/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA) is a plus
• Proven experience in Audit & Finance, with at least 7 years in a similar role
• Experienced in one of the Big 4 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and accounting practices (IFRS, US GAAP)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (Oracle) 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis is a plus
