ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Manager of Finance, Corporate FP&A to be a key partner to the VP of Finance and Investor Relations. This role will support key strategic decisions with compelling financial analysis and help drive profitable growth for LifeStance (approx. $1B revenue and P&L), including by providing finance business partnership to the company’s corporate departments.

The Manager of Finance will assist with responsibilities such as leading operating expense planning for LifeStance’s financial planning and analysis processes, including monthly forecasting and annual and long-range planning; monthly and quarterly reporting processes; company-wide workforce planning; financial planning system and forecast model review; providing financial decision support analytics to assist business leaders; and supporting process and systems improvement.

COMPENSATION: $90,000 - $120,000/annually

RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance Business Partnership for Corporate Departments

  • Partner closely with various corporate departments (e.g., Marketing, Clinical, Legal, Finance, HR, etc.) to provide financial insights, analysis, and support

  • Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, as well as advising on financial strategy and performance improvement, particularly for corporate departments

  • Collaborate with executive leaders to develop and refine financial plans and forecasts

  • Monitor performance against annual plans and monthly forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions

  • Provide insights into financial performance and assist in finding opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement

  • Act as a trusted advisor to corporate departments, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support various strategic decisions, initiatives and projects

Planning & Forecasting

  • Play a key role in the company’s planning and forecasting processes, coordinating with key stakeholders

  • Drive profitable growth by improving visibility, forecasting, consolidation and analysis of results and key metrics while advising senior management on insights and recommended actions

  • Develop a deep understanding of key financial and operational drivers across the organization and leverage that acumen to effectively predict and describe future periods

  • Engage with finance and business leadership across all areas of the Company to deliver timely and robust planning content, explanatory power, insights for action, and process improvement

Management/External Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare clear, accurate and in-depth financial analyses in support of monthly reporting packages, quarterly close materials, and other management reporting cycles

  • Prepare succinct and clear executive presentations that simplify complex topics, often with time sensitive deliverables

  • Ensure data integrity and drive consistent and accurate reporting of Finance data across the organization

  • Lead and coordinate ad hoc requests from company leadership

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Develop partnerships with stakeholders throughout organization

  • Drive cross-functional alignment on finance processes and planning, and collaborate across teams to improve data quality and speed of reporting

  • Actively seek opportunities to improve tools and processes

  • Effectively manage numerous projects at a given time in a fast-paced environment

  • Ensure the highest level of effectiveness and continued skill development of the Corporate FP&A team

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field; MBA, CPA, or other relevant qualifications is a plus.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience as manager of finance or similar role.

  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices; strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, both internal and external, and financial modeling.

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint abilities, PowerQuery, and PowerPivot is a plus.

  • Experience with financial planning software, Planful or Adaptive administration is a plus.

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities; strong executive presence and ability to communicate clearly with senior executives and finance partners.

  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor as well as experience resolving complex business problems with well-structured analytics; ability to provide strategic thought leadership.

  • Strong process and change management orientation, including managing systems and stakeholders.

  • Strong data visualization skills and familiarity with BI tools and Management Reporting systems.

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
