Job Purpose:

Performs a variety of financial activities, including accounting, financial analysis, audit, tax, credit and collections Advise management on financial matters and the impact of laws and regulations on the organization. Provide expertise and advice to managers to help them develop budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities. Develops and evaluates financial plans and policies Establishes and maintains accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls Ensure all tax returns, declarations, and other required reports are submitted accurately and on time. Select and manage relationships with consultants and advisors to ensure the satisfactory standards of service.

Position Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Financial Manager to oversee the finance department of our R&D center in Pune, India, while also supervising the financial operations of our distribution subsidiaries in the APAC region.
The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in financial management within an international setting and demonstrate expertise in handling financial operations, strategic planning, and compliance in the technology and software sector.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Financial Management:

o Oversee all financial operations of the R&D center and financial reporting.

o Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for both the R&D center and APAC subsidiaries.

o Monitor and control expenditures to optimize resource allocation and improve financial efficiency.

 

2. Strategic Planning and Analysis:

o Provide strategic financial insights to support the R&D center’s objectives and initiatives.

o Conduct detailed financial analysis to guide decision-making processes for the R&D center and APAC subsidiaries.

o Develop and manage financial models to project future financial performance for both entities.

 

3. Compliance and Risk Management:

o Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.

o Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective internal controls and risk management strategies.

o Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process for the R&D center and APAC subsidiaries.

 

4. Cost Management:

o Implement cost-saving measures and initiatives to enhance financial performance.

o Track and analyze the financial impact of research and development activities and distribution operations.

o Optimize the use of financial resources within the R&D center and APAC subsidiaries.

 

5. Team Leadership and Development:

o Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and professional growth.

o Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation within the finance department.

 

6. Collaboration and Reporting:

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, operations, and corporate finance, to align financial goals with business objectives.

o Support the financial planning and analysis activities of the broader organization.

 

7. Supervision of APAC Subsidiaries:

o Oversee financial operations, reporting, and compliance for distribution subsidiaries in the APAC region.

o Ensure consistency in financial practices and reporting across all APAC subsidiaries.

o Coordinate with local finance teams to ensure alignment with the company’s overall financial strategy.

 

Qualifications:

· Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is preferred.

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior management role within an international environment.

· Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.

· Proven ability to lead and manage a finance team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems. NetSuite

· Experience in the technology or industrial software sector is highly desirable.

· Experience in managing financial operations across multiple regions, particularly in the APAC region, is a plus.
