Cassia, a nonprofit senior living organization, is hiring a Finance Manager to join our Home Office team! This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting and finance professional to contribute to a mission-driven organization dedicated to serving older adults. You'll support the financial operations of multiple Cassia communities while working alongside a collaborative team and helping ensure accurate financial reporting.

As our Finance Manager, you will oversee a variety of accounting and financial functions that support the day-to-day operations of Cassia. Your responsibilities will include managing financial transactions, preparing and reviewing financial reports, supporting audits and budgets, maintaining internal controls, and assisting with month-end and year-end accounting activities. To be successful, you must be detail-oriented, analytical, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Position Type: Full-Time, benefits eligible position

Wage Range: $70,000 - $85,000 / hour depending on experience

Location: 7171 Ohms Lane, Edina, MN, 55439. This position is onsite at the Home Office in Edina.

Finance Manager Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and financial transactions.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports and supporting schedules.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Reconcile accounts and research discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain financial records and supporting documentation in accordance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders and finance staff to support financial decision-making.
  • Support audits, tax reporting, and other financial compliance activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies.
  • Perform additional tasks as requested.
Finance Manager Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with at least 2 years of relevant accounting experience; or Associate degree in Accounting with at least 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and internal controls.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to create and maintain financial spreadsheets, schedules, and analyses.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and exercise sound professional judgment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.

Skills Required
