Your next career opportunity
In this Finance Manager role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial sustainability of Phoenix Australia. You will partner with staff at all levels of the organisation to manage project finances, monitor performance against budgets, provide insightful reporting, and ensure compliance with contractual, legislative, and financial obligations.

What you will deliver:

  • Lead day-to-day finance operations, month-end processes, budgeting and analysis across organisational, portfolio and project levels.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, internal controls, statutory compliance, external audit processes and integrity of the general ledger.
  • Oversee payroll governance, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, BAS submissions and accurate financial service delivery.
  • Provide expert financial reporting, analysis and advice to project leads on grants, funded projects and milestones.
  • Identify and implement process and system improvements that enhance data quality, efficiency and financial controls organisation-wide.

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Hold a degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business or Finance, with CA or CPA qualification .
  • Bring extensive experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and management within complex organisations.
  • Demonstrate strong skills with accounting packages such as MYOB, ERP systems like Workday, and advanced Excel.
  • Understand revenue recognition standards AASB15 and AASB1058, governance, internal controls and compliance requirements.
  • Communicate complex financial information clearly, advising non-financial staff on policies and project financial management.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, manage confidential information appropriately, and deliver to deadlines with initiative and autonomy.
