About the role

This is a finance business partner role supporting Reworld Metals Management. Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will support financial planning, reporting, analysis, controls, and operational finance activities for the business. The role will help translate operating activity into clear financial insight, support disciplined decision-making, and partner with finance, operations, accounting, engineering, procurement, and commercial teams to improve visibility into performance, risks, opportunities, costs, working capital, and controls. This position requires strong financial acumen, practical business judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with business partners and management.

Reworld Metals Management supports ash processing, metals recycling, and value recovery from thermomechanical treatment facility byproducts across the company’s portfolio. The business generates approximately $100 million in annual recycled metals revenue and continues to support Reworld’s growth, sustainability, and operational performance objectives through metals recovery, byproduct optimization, and facility-level execution.

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning, Business Partnership, and Performance Management

  • Serve as a finance business partner for Reworld Metals Management, supporting plant leadership, operations, commercial teams, and cross-functional stakeholders with financial analysis, reporting, and business insight.
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and financial models that provide visibility into key business drivers and operating performance.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis by coordinating inputs, validating assumptions, and preparing clear financial summaries for review.
  • Track performance against budget, forecast, and operational targets, and help identify cost drivers, margin impacts, forecast changes, and follow-up actions.
  • Support the recurring financial operating cadence, including forecast updates, KPI reviews, management reporting, operating reviews, and follow-up tracking.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and facility leadership to analyze capital planning needs, project economics, productivity initiatives, and operational improvement opportunities.
  • Review capital requests and business cases for financial assumptions, return expectations, risk considerations, and alignment with approved business priorities.
  • Prepare professional reporting packages, financial narratives, business insights, and recommended follow-up actions for management review.
  • Communicate value drivers, risks, opportunities, and tradeoffs in a clear and practical manner for finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Provide forward-looking analysis that supports cost control, margin visibility, working capital improvement, and operational decision-making.
  • Identify and quantify risks and opportunities, and recommend practical actions that support profitability, cash flow, controls, and business performance.
  • Support financial analysis, special projects, and continuous improvement efforts that improve operating effectiveness and finance process consistency.

Controllership, Reporting, Controls, and Operational Finance Execution

  • Support a strong controllership environment by following accounting policies, internal controls, approval requirements, audit expectations, and financial governance standards.
  • Help improve finance process maturity by strengthening reconciliations, reporting routines, control documentation, and approval workflows.
  • Manage financial monitoring, reconciliation, and reporting of commodity inventory, shipments, yields, recoveries, and operating expenses.
  • Analyze facility KPIs to explain trends, surface performance drivers, and support timely corrective action.
  • Support month-end close by validating results, reviewing account support, preparing or reviewing journal entry documentation, and partnering with the Shared Service Center for timely reporting.
  • Perform variance analysis and investigative reviews to support the integrity, completeness, and transparency of financial results.
  • Review accruals, reserves, cut-off, inventory valuation, cost allocations, reconciliations, and key estimates for accuracy and supportability.
  • Monitor subcontractor labor billing, plant operating statistics, production models, purchasing reports, and open purchase order follow-up.
  • Partner with procurement, operations, and accounting to support spend governance, invoice accuracy, accrual completeness, and cost-control discipline.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
  • 5+ years of relevant finance or accounting experience, preferably with exposure to an operating plant, manufacturing, recycling, commodities, or industrial environment
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial controls, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, month-end close, and management reporting
  • Experience supporting financial processes, partnering with business stakeholders, and presenting results, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to management
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, financial review routines, and variance analysis for an operating business or facility
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting automation capabilities
  • PowerPoint proficiency with the ability to prepare clear, professional presentations and concise business narratives
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently, coordinate cross-functional inputs, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or CPA preferred
  • Experience with PeopleSoft or a similar ERP system
  • Experience with Oracle Smart View is a plus
  • Experience supporting plant start-up activities is helpful
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools for productivity, analysis, documentation, presentations, project tracking, and decision support

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • Based at the corporate office in Florham Park, NJ, with at least one day per week onsite.
  • Expected to travel to the Morrisville, PA plant two to three days per week.
  • Eligible for one work-from-home day per week, based on business needs and leadership alignment.

Success Measures:

  • Management has timely, accurate, and actionable visibility into financial performance, key drivers, risks, opportunities, and follow-up actions
  • Budget, forecast, and management reporting processes are disciplined, credible, and aligned with operational realities and business priorities
  • Month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, reserves, inventory valuation, and financial reporting are accurate, supportable, and completed on schedule
  • Controls, approval workflows, purchasing discipline, and cost visibility are strengthened as the metals platform scales
  • Business leaders use finance insights to support decisions on cost control, margin improvement, working capital, capital requests, and operational performance
  • Finance processes, reporting tools, and operating routines continue to improve in consistency, transparency, and usefulness to management

Pay Transparency


Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

  

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $118,700.00 - $169,800.00 USD per annum
