Job Summary:
Our team at WEX is seeking a self-driven and motivated FPA Manager to oversee the OTR and Factoring line of business, supported by two FPA Analysts.
Performance Objectives:
- Be an integral part of WEX’s monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting and budgeting processes and manage the preparation & analysis of the income statement for the Over the Road (OTR) and Factoring businesses.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with peers in the finance organization; support the Director of OTR & Factoring, as well as the Senior Director of US Mobility.
- Respond to requests for financial information from internal customers and work collaboratively with the sales team to provide pricing to current and prospective customers.
- Drive improved and simplified processes and data analytics to support the business.
- Support key FP&A functions including related performance reporting, departmental expenses analysis, results reporting, variance analysis; benchmarking and analytical reporting.
- Provide insight and guidance to the Director of OTR & Factoring and the Senior Director of US Mobility in relation to risks, opportunities, and other elements of emergent activities or current activities that are off track.
- Maintain an awareness of global economic trends that affect the company such as growth rates, interest rates, exchange rates and fuel prices.
- Assist in analysis and preparation of financial information for quarterly earnings communications to the Board of Directors and investment community.
- Manage and develop a team of analysts and interns, coaching them to success.
- Other ad-hoc projects and analysis as necessary such as M&A, Periodic reports and analyses as required for the management team, presenting and recommending suggestions regarding internal issues/alternatives.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- At least 5 years of significant financial management experience required in high-growth, technology focused organizations.
- Proven ability to work closely with sales personnel and internal management.
- Support the delivery and creation of financial performance management reports, scorecards with appropriate operating KPIs that drive financials and insights.
- Interfacing with multiple levels of associates, management, and internal executives.
- Working across a matrix organization, including influencing and interfacing with multiple team members in differing functions.
- SOX / Listed Company reporting responsibilities.
- Reporting of actuals, forecasting and budgets.
- Analytical and financial modeling experience.
- Financial systems experience, including ERP systems and consolidation for corporate systems. Knowledge of PeopleSoft and other ERP is a must.
- Must possess very strong communication, organizational and presentation skills.
- Must pass a successful background investigation
