Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensure all statutory and tax compliance and reporting activities are executed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance.
- Collaborate with statutory/tax leaders and service providers to maintain accurate processes, reporting, and key metrics.
- Oversee and improve centralized processes for income and VAT tax account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop and implement remediation plans for tax reconciliation issues, coordinating with regional/global counterparts as needed.
- Partner with in-country providers to optimize tax positions, reduce statutory costs, and manage risks.
- Lead and oversee a team supporting quarter-close activities, including risk/opportunity analysis, process improvements, and technology initiatives.
- Ensure delivery of audited statutory financial statements under BR GAAP (CPCs) and manage relationships with internal and external auditors, while enhancing systems with accounting and IT teams.
Required Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Solid experience in public accounting and/or multinational environments.
- Professional certification (CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical and project management capabilities.
- Experience with tax (direct and indirect) aspects of systems implementation.
- Proficiency in English for business communication (written and spoken).
- Expertise in local GAAP and US GAAP, with strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and program execution skills.
