As Finance Manager – Marketing, you will act as a key finance business partner to SEEK’s APAC Marketing team, supporting Marketing leaders with planning, investment decisions, performance tracking, and ROI analysis.

This role plays an important part in helping Marketing make informed decisions on where and how to invest. You will work closely with regional and local Marketing leaders to align marketing plans to business priorities, assess campaign and initiative performance, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure spend is directed towards agreed outcomes.

You will also oversee the core finance rhythm for APAC Marketing, including budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting, spend governance and performance tracking, ensuring these activities support timely, practical and commercially relevant insights for Marketing leaders.

The role requires a strong balance of stakeholder partnership, commercial curiosity and financial discipline. You will provide clear insight, constructive challenge and practical recommendations that help improve marketing effectiveness, cost management and investment returns.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with regional and local Marketing leaders to align spend plans to business outcomes and track execution
  • Provide commercial finance support across marketing investment decisions, helping leaders assess priorities, trade-offs, risks and opportunities
  • Lead ROI analysis and post-campaign reviews to assess effectiveness and inform future investment decisions
  • Translate campaign and investment performance into clear commercial insights for Marketing leaders
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes for APAC Marketing, ensuring accuracy and accountability
  • Track actual spend against budget and forecast, identifying risks, variances and required actions
  • Own the month-end process for marketing costs, including accruals, reporting, commentary and stakeholder follow-up
  • Maintain strong financial governance and compliance across marketing expenditure, including policy adherence, approval discipline and cost attribution frameworks
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve forecast accuracy, streamline processes, automate reporting and strengthen the integration between Finance and Marketing workflows

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in commercial finance, FP&A, business partnering or management accounting within a complex, fast-paced organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior stakeholders, building trust, influencing decisions and constructively challenging when needed, with the communication skills to explain financial concepts clearly to non-finance audiences
  • Experience supporting Marketing, Sales, Growth, Product or digital businesses, with exposure to ROI, campaign performance, customer acquisition or performance marketing analysis
  • Ability to translate financial and business performance data into clear commercial insights and practical recommendations
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and month-end financial processes
  • Strong financial modelling, analysis and problem-solving skills, with advanced Excel capability across financial systems, reporting outputs and large data sets
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to balance accuracy, pace and commercial judgement while managing competing priorities independently
  • Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business or a related discipline; CA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent desirable
  • Experience working in a regional or multi-market business, particularly across APAC, and comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities
  • Experience improving finance processes, reporting workflows or planning cycles through better systems or ways of working (desirable)
