The Finance Manager I for GAMPAC is accountable for leading processes for end-to-end monthly accounting, financial, tax reporting activities, and ad hoc report analysis for GAMPAC and the Transportation & Logistics team. The role is the financial subject matter expert while supporting the GAMPAC President, VP of Sales, and Director of Operations as well as collaborating with the Shared Business Services, Corporate Accounting teams to provide reporting and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial results and to achieve GAMPAC goals. Champions the implementation of GAMPAC accounting integration initiatives and process improvements. Owns internal control compliance for the GAMPAC accounting function. Act as liaison with internal and external auditors and other third parties.
This position has been segmented as 'Hybrid" meaning there is a combination of three onsite days and the rest remote.
Responsibilities:

Play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of financial results for internal and external (SEC) reporting requirements through a robust monthly/quarterly close process.

Responsible for complex accounting activities related to maintenance of complete and accurate general ledger, reports, and financial statements including month-end journal entries and financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet)

Lead the SOX efforts in assigned areas ensuring prudent compliance and work with internal and external auditors as required. Proactively assess impact to company operations.

Presentation of monthly results of financial and operation performance metrics versus current plan and forecast to leadership team

Identify and implement process improvements and standardization of accounting processes

Assist as Financial SME with implementation of new GAMPAC systems

Facilitate annual planning process

Perform regular weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, and ad hoc reporting and analysis including monthly sales commissions calculations and payouts and annual 1099 reporting submission

Review analysis on key business drivers and leading indicators utilizing appropriate statistical capabilities available in current financial systems.

Support executive level presentations and communicates recommendations to gain alignment across functions and operations on strategic decisions and projects to meet company objectives.

Provide Financial Analysis support for new GAMPAC related business cases

Develop and maintain databases to support and facilitate accounting and reconciliation activities, including follow-up with Operations and Accounts Payable/Receivable teams

Provide guidance to Accounts Receivable and Payables team on processing accounting/financial transactions

Minimum Qualifications:
-
5 years of relevant work experience required OR 3 years of relevant work experience with an MBA or MA in Finance or Accounting

At least 1 year of experience leading projects and/or process improvements

Deep knowledge of accounting including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and SOX

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools, comfortable using VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, among other functions

Prioritization/Organization/Multi-Tasking - Able to organize their own work and deadlines as well as assist others with their planning. Able to prioritize activities in a multi-tasked environment required.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related analytical field required (or related experience)
Certifications/Training:

Job relevant certifications preferred (e.g. CPA)
Preferred Qualifications:

MA/MBA preferred

Experience with PeopleSoft and/or Navision preferred
Universal Pay Verbiage:
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $75,000 and $120,000
This role will also receive an annual incentive plan bonus.
