About the Role:We are seeking a strategic and results-driven FP&A Manager for our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure alignment with Dyson’s core growth pillars while overseeing the planning process. You will partner closely with Finance and cross functional stakeholders to articulate the performance narrative for the US market and the Americas region, provide actionable financial analysis, and build reporting that enhances business performance monitoring. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, expertise in financial modeling, preparing dashboards and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes with focus on Category P&Ls, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
Drive the monthly forecast cycle and use advanced simulation skills to evaluate changes and test scenarios.
Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and investment decisions.
Conduct variance analysis to compare actual performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights to senior management.
Be an integral part of the S&OP process partnering with demand planning, Marketing and other cross functional partners throughout the planning cycle to deliver superior forecasts.
Reporting & Insights
Prepare and present monthly financial reports and dashboards for executive leadership, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
Develop comprehensive financial reporting packages to help drive business decisions.
Analyze BU financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and presenting actionable recommendations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with business units and other functional teams to gather input for financial forecasts and budgets, ensuring accuracy and comprehensiveness.
Partner with operations, marketing, and sales teams to evaluate new initiatives and investment opportunities, providing critical financial insights.
Strategic Support
Support strategic initiatives and projects by offering financial analysis and guidance on profitability, cost control, and resource allocation.
Assist in developing long-term financial strategies, including capital expenditure planning and investment analysis.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification (CPA / ACCA / CMA) preferred.
7-9 years of finance experience, with a focus on financial planning and analysis, ideally in consumer-packaged goods (CPG).
Strong proficiency in financial modeling, simulating P&Ls and forecasting.
Experience in building tools and processes to simplify tasks and help drive business decisions.
Familiarity with data analysis and consolidation tools (e.g., Excel, OneStream, Tableau, Power BI).
Excellent analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret complex financial data and derive actionable insights.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders; advanced PowerPoint skills are essential for creating impactful presentations.
High proficiency in Excel for data analysis and modeling; experience with ERP systems required.
Strong leadership skills, with a track record of developing and mentoring finance professionals.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Salary: $120,000-$150,000 annually+ bonus opportunity
