We are looking for a Finance Manager - Data and Technology to play a crucial role in two distinct yet interconnected areas of financial oversight. You'll be responsible for Data & Artificial Intelligence (D&AI), which involves partnering closely with the D&AI leadership team, various data product areas, and brand stakeholders.

In this capacity, you'll drive financial performance management and forecasting to enable informed decision-making, optimize costs, prioritize investments, and support strategic planning. Additionally, the role covers Technology finance, where you'll contribute to business case preparation and support, as well as actively work on process optimisation and streamlining initiatives.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role

  • Partner with the Data & AI leadership team, alongside the Senior Finance Manager, to provide financial and commercial insights, support business case development, and drive alignment to financial targets
  • Constructively challenge assumptions, influence prioritisation decisions, and help shape the strategic direction of Data & AI investments
  • Support preparation and tracking of business cases, ensuring robust ROI analysis and alignment with the Group’s investment framework
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of both capital and operational expenditure across Data & AI
  • Provide actionable insights to inform business decisions, support cost optimisation initiatives, and guide resource prioritisation
  • Work with the Senior Finance Manager to manage a transparent budget and forecast cycles, including variance analysis, risk identification, and proactive mitigation strategies
  • Contribute to the ongoing review and optimisation of the D&AI cost base through analysis of resource mix opportunities and evaluation and measurement of non-resource spend
  • Drive transparency in performance reporting by identifying financial risks and opportunities at the initiative, brand, and segment level
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across, Retail, and Hotels to ensure visibility of benefits and appropriate attribution within segment P&Ls as value is realised
  • Enhance financial reporting to support decision-making, including initiative-level tracking, trend analysis, and insight-driven commentary
  • Support financial governance processes including capex vs. opex classification, cost allocation, and adherence to capital governance frameworks
  • Provide support to the business for investment cases ensuring any linkages between D&D and Technology are captured 
  • Implement finance process best practice across Technology and D&D, considering nuance and where processes can be streamlined, allowing for optimisation.

This role requires a blend of strong financial acumen, analytical capabilities, and effective business partnering skills, particularly within the fast-evolving domains of data, AI, and technology.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, or a related field and CA / CPA qualified
  • Minimum 7+ years experience, including finance partnering
  • Experience in a technology-driven company or a role supporting technology/data functions would be a significant advantage
  • Strong commercial acumen, ability to translate financial data and insights into meaningful and relevant action
  • Experience with both capital (capex) and operational (opex) expenditure
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing cost bases, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and evaluating resource mix and non-resource spend
  • Strong modelling, analytical skills and an expertise in developing and presenting clear, actionable financial reports.
  • Created sustainable commercial value with proven P&L management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively partner with diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency with financial planning software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and modeling.
