GBS-GDT is a global capability entity in Unilever , with an overheads cost base of €1.3bn and capex of €0.2bn. It plays a vital role in powering Unilever to win and is the delivery engine that enables our company to run every day.
GBS-GDT does this by embracing radical simplification and standardisation, delivering trusted and highly efficient E2E transformative solutions with latest technology, that redefines corporate performance and increase competitiveness. Through this, GBS-GDT fuels growth and maximises profitability by enabling BG/BU/1UL to focus on market facing value drivers/
The Finance Exellence Team (FET) is critical in supporting GBS-GET with performance management. This ensures that the value delivery is visible to business in the financials and there is robust governance of Budgets, Actual Costs and Savings Delivery.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
The newly created One Performance Management Team has consolidated four separate performance teams into One: these are the Strategy, Global Performance Management, CDMO and Unilever Business Operations finance teams. Within this new scope, a central Finance Excellence Team (FET) was established and Controlling activities were consolidated into one independent team, thus liberating Finance Business Partners (FBP) from performance management to focus on value moments.
Therefore, main FET responsibilities will include:
a. Being custodian of one version of truth i.e one set of financials with multiple granular views for all types of stakeholders.
b. Ensure smooth operations , which include
i. Forecasting process for People and Non-people cost for 15+ service lines and 80+ Markets that are supported by GBS-GDT.
c. Rigourous control with confidentiality in People cost forecasting and Budgeting.
d. Leverage technology and produce superior user-friendly analytics for service lines to drive value creation for the business.
Following the creation of the One Performance Management Team, all routine FP&A and FET related GBS-GDT activities will be managed by the Central FET, leaving FBPs to focus on value interventions.
