Job Description SummaryAs Finance Manager for the ATRMO Engineering & Cost team, you will be responsible for the financial forecasting, planning and reporting for this important and emerging Value stream, interacting with senior leadership across various functions of the business.
You will work closely with cross functional teams to develop a thorough, in depth knowledge of our finance processes, and help GE maintain our excellent service to our valuable customers. You will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues, be involved in long-term planning and contribute to the overall business strategy.
You will use your interpersonal skills to liaise with different stakeholders across the business, which will allow you to drive and influence performance in order to achieve our financial goals.
This role will drive the highest standards of controllership, accounting and compliance with GE policies, developing developing critical financial skills in the areas of FP&A, CAPEX management, engineering, and cost management.Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial management of capital expenditure projects – from the initial setup through procurement to tracking actuals and reporting status on the projects.  This individual will partner closely with the Operations team for the Services Technology Acceleration Center in Cincinnati to ensure the correct project setups, accounting, and project management are performed.
  • Manage the income statement (sales and cogs) and balance sheet for new services offerings, as we sell equipment and license new maintenance and repair technology to help customers manage their cost of ownership.
  • Responsible for providing financial planning, reporting, analysis, and capital allocation support to the ATMRO Technology & Cost Leader.  This would include direct and indirect expense management for a global team of over 100 individuals that cover the following areas in Services: Manufacturing Engineering, Productivity, NPI, Technology, Time on Wing, and Digital.
  • Lead tracking & short-term forecasting of financial performance and propose action plans to improve profitability and cash generation.
  • Defining, collating data and publishing KPIs to measure financial performance for the business and reporting progress to operational stakeholders.
  • Communicate complex messages to others, in order to explain difficult or sensitive information and be able to skillfully influence colleagues to generate solutions to problems.
  • Perform special analysis of any arising issues and recommend solutions to complex business issues.
  • Evaluate processes and identify improvements.
  • Ad-hoc projects and analysis related to Cost, Productivity, and NPI business cases.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • 5+ years of experience in finance.
