  • Review general ledger reconciliations and analyze revenue and costing flux each month to identify discrepancies and variances
  • Perform hands-on journal entry processing and take responsibility for key accounting focus areas
  • Supervise and mentor finance team members, providing guidance on technical accounting matters and professional development
  • Maintain clean, reconciled ledgers and ensure the integrity of all financial data
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost control and process improvement.
  • Support the integration of AI technology to improve team workflows and drive process efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal control policies
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • CA or CPA qualified; bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or commerce.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial management roles
  • Proven experience managing and supervising finance teams
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and financial systems
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and financial modeling
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present financial information
  • Experience with Australian accounting regulations and financial reporting requirements
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency
