Be the Lead Finance Person – You're the first dedicated finance hire at a startup with significant, accelerating revenue, building the financial rigor behind the growth rather than reporting into a finance org of 50.
Work with the General Manager – Build the models behind every major decision the company makes: pricing, market entry, hiring, capital allocation, and the story we tell future investors.
Own the Numbers – Stop evaluating other people's companies from the diligence side and apply your reps inside one fast-growing business, where your analysis becomes the decision.
Ground Floor Opportunity – Join an early-stage startup led by a repeat founder with a successful exit.
What You'll Do
Build and own Concourse's operating model: revenue forecasting, unit economics, headcount planning, and scenario analysis across the business
Partner with the CEO on strategic decisions (new market entry, pricing, capital allocation, and partnership economics) by building the models that frame the options clearly
Develop and maintain KPIs and financial reporting that give leadership a real-time view of the business: what's working, what's at risk, and where to push harder
Lead ad-hoc analyses as the business demands: competitive benchmarking, build vs. buy analysis, contract economics, and investor-facing materials
Drive fundraise preparation and investor communications, bringing a banker's polish to the data room, the model, and the narrative
Build the financial infrastructure from scratch: the processes, templates, and reporting cadence that will scale with the company
Serve as the internal finance partner to company leadership, helping them understand what the numbers mean and how to use them
Use AI tools to scale your work: automating reporting, accelerating analysis, and building leverage a traditional finance team gets from headcount
What We're Looking For
3-4 years of combined investment banking and private equity experience
Elite financial modeling and forecasting skills; you can build a three-statement model, bottoms-up revenue forecast, or KPI dashboard from a blank spreadsheet
Sharp instincts for the story behind the numbers. You don't just report metrics, you interpret them and recommend action
AI-pilled: you already use tools like Claude to 10x your output, you reach for AI before you reach for an analyst, and you want to build a finance function that's AI-native from day one
Ability to operate independently in an unstructured environment; there's no playbook here, and you'll need to write it
Clear, direct communicator, comfortable presenting analysis to a founder/CEO and pushing back when the assumptions don't hold
Based in NYC + work in-person in Flatiron (5 days/week)
Concourse is the fastest-growing govtech, providing software to more than 100 state and local governments across the U.S.
Government calls what we do "IT modernization." We call it a trillion-dollar opportunity to overhaul how government works. Public services are broken not because of bureaucracy but instead because they run on antiquated, user-unfriendly software from legacy vendors.
Some examples: Concourse is powering the legislative management system for one of America's largest cities, a state's entire online bail payment system, and a case-management platform for mental-health response teams.
We are an AI-native company. Our org structure and staffing model are radically different from those of legacy tech companies: we have a flat team of superstar generalists who both own client relationships and manage fleets of long-horizon AI agents.
Our team works together in our Flatiron office five days a week.
