Formance is building the next generation of financial infrastructure. Our platform gives fintechs, banks, and digital platforms the tools to build and tracks money movements with full transparency and control.

Starting with an Open Source Ledger (i.e. a database for financial transactions), we’re building a comprehensive suite of modern financial backend modules, including native and automated reconciliation, workflow engines, and connectors with various financial services providers - e.g. Stripe, Adyen, Modulr, Wise, Atlar. This unique approach has made us the trusted financial backend for leading SaaS companies and financial institutions like Booksy, Doctolib, and Liberis, along with many others worldwide.

As a post–Series A company, we’ve recently opened two new offices in New York and London to accelerate our worldwide expansion.

We are looking for a Finance Lead to join us on a part-time basis (3 to 4 days per week) and build the financial foundations required to scale the company.

This is a strategic and hands-on role, reporting to the Head of Corporate Services, and work in close partnership with the leadership team, and investors, to drive financial clarity, capital efficiency, and sustainable growth in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.

• Improve and own the financial infrastructure to support rapid scaling

• Own forecasting, budgeting, planning, and financial modelling across the business

• Partner with leadership on revenue strategy, pricing, and capital efficiency

• Analyse revenue performance, cost-to-serve, and margin improvement opportunities

• Implement clear, reliable reporting and investor-grade metrics

• Prepare board materials, financial reporting packs, and ensure data-room readiness on a monthly basis

• Support future fundraising rounds through modelling, scenario planning, and due diligence

• Liaise with top-tier investors on regular and ad-hoc financial requests

• Build dashboards and KPIs understandable by all internal leaders

• Establish a Single Source of Truth (SSOT) for all financial KPIs (ideally moving beyond Excel, with automation and/or AI-enabled power BI tooling)

• Design and implement scalable systems, processes, and automation for a high-growth environment

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, liquidity management, and cost control

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close governance, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness

• Manage intercompany reconciliations and multi-entity accounting

• Coordinate with external accountants (closing, AP/AR, budgeting)

• Ensure financial health as the company expands into new markets and enterprise accounts

• 10+ years of experience as a finance lead in:

  • High-growth startups or scale-ups

  • SaaS, AI, or Deep Tech environments (bonus, not mandatory)

• Proven experience scaling ARR, including mid-market and enterprise growth

• Proven experience supporting a company through a Series B round and post-Series B scaling,

• Strong ability to partner with Sales, Product, Operations, and Founders

• Highly analytical, structured, and operational, with a strong business mindset

• Comfortable in fast-moving, early-stage or scale-up environments

• Strong taste for simplicity, without compromising on precision and rigor

• Fluent in English and French

• Comfortable operating in flexible, remote, or evolving setups

• Strategic impact with real ownership and visibility

Salary/Perks
80,000€ /year
