Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Finance Intern who will be responsible in assisting with analyzing, budgeting, reporting, and long-range planning for the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis function. We are looking for someone who is a fast learner and takes ownership and pride in producing high-quality work. In this role, the selected candidate will support the development and achievement of the organization's goals and objectives by providing accurate, insightful and timely finance support and analysis. This individual will report directly to the Corporate FP&A Sr. Manager and work closely with the rest of the enterprise finance team. This individual will help support the annual operating planning process, provide finance and strategic support to corporate leadership, including identifying, researching, analyzing and presenting critical business drivers, trends and project-level analysis.

 

The position will be based in Orange, CA and will offer flexibility for hybrid remote/in-office work options. This is a paid internship.

Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze various financial forecasts and enterprise dashboards.
  • Assist in creating and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
  • Play a supporting role in the annual operating planning process
  • Provide finance and strategic support to corporate leadership, including identifying, researching, analyzing, and presenting critical business drivers, trends, and project-level analysis

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related major
  • Must be have completed at least 2 years of study

Preferred Qualifications:

  • General level of financial knowledge and familiarity
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, and Outlook), as well as exposure to other construction-based computer programs.
  • Detailed oriented with the ability to prioritize work, navigate ambiguity, and meet quick turn-around deadlines in a fast-paced environment
