ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Finance & Accounting Intern, you will apply your academic knowledge to real-world financial planning, analysis, reporting, and accounting operations that support a publicly traded, global technology company.
You will gain exposure to both strategic finance initiatives and core accounting processes that ensure accurate reporting and strong internal controls. Working closely with experienced finance and accounting professionals, your ideas and analytical insights will be valued as we strive for continuous improvement and innovation.
This internship provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative corporate environment.
During your internship, you will participate in shadowing and training opportunities with members of both the Finance and Accounting teams. You will attend weekly team meetings, network with leaders, and engage with fellow interns across the organization.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE
- Assist with financial modeling and forecasting
- Provide general accounting support, including account reconciliations and journal entries
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Collaborate with finance leads to model the financial impact of business decisions
- Analyze revenue and expense variances to provide insights to managers
- Review operational and financial metrics to identify trends and root causes
- Provide support for the annual budgeting and planning process
- Assist with internal controls documentation and audit support
- Contribute to statistical analysis and special cross-functional projects
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts
- Interest in financial analysis, reporting, and accounting operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated with a desire to learn and grow
