Finance Intern

We are seeking enthusiastic and ambitious individuals to join our summer internship program for 8 weeks onsite in Austin, Texas. As an intern with us, you will gain hands-on experience while working alongside your dedicated mentor and building connections with various other team members.

As a Finance Intern at Favor, you will work with our Finance team in addition to cross functional partners in Operations and Marketing to make improvements to measuring our customer lifetime value (LTV) and supply acquisition efficiency and productivity. This will allow you to deep dive into drivers behind LTV variances and our new runners journey from creation through active runner. You will gain hands-on experience while working alongside your dedicated mentor on the Finance Team.

What You'll Do

• Analyze customer lifetime value (LTV) by region, segmenting by activation period to assess acquisition impact
• Identify key drivers behind LTV variances, such as merchant preferences, demographics, and retention trends
• Evaluate supply acquisition efficiency and productivity by tracking Runner journeys from onboarding to activation
• Compare acquisition methods, regional trends, and activation efforts to optimize supply strategies
• Assess the effectiveness of incentives and winback efforts in balancing short- and long-term supply needs
• Support forecasting efforts to improve budget allocation and resource distribution for marketing and operations
• Develop tools and insights to help stakeholders make data-driven decisions on spending and acquisition strategies
• Assist with day-to-day operations of the team 

Skills You Have

• This role can help springboard your career in finance and allow you to grow in many different directions. You do not need to have formal training, but we will ask you to speak about how your background has prepared you for the work you’ll be doing as a member of the Finance team. Translatable backgrounds that might be successful include finance, accounting, data analytics, marketing, sales, or a similar mix of training and experience that you think will make you successful on our team.

Who You Are

• You have experience working with data through Excel or Google Sheets
• You have strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• You have experience building financial models and providing financial analysis (data visualization is a plus)
• You are an active undergraduate college student
• You can build rapport and work collaboratively with others on a team
• You are curious, thorough, and are eager to dive into the details, ask questions, and solve problems
• You are self-motivated, resourceful, and able to execute assigned tasks efficiently and effectively
